Shoes

Okay, so I was not trying to subscribe to the idea that you had to pay $100 (or so) for a pair of running shoes. I went to Target and bought a pair of running shoes for $29. After a week of blisters and bruised feet, I gave up and splurged on a pair of $75 (on sale!) Nikes. So I tried them out today and they feel like running on pillows! Lesson learned.

  1. Let me say, from experience this is where you get what you pay for.
I got many little injuries wearing the wrong shoes. I even tore a muscle, nothing huge but I did, due to my shoes. SO E and I bit the bullet and we went to our local runner store and we were fitted to our shoes. And they are only good for 300-500 miles.
So My ankles turn in when I walk and speed walk. So I was fitted to motion control Brooks and they run 89- 100. But I have to take care of my feet so they will carry me to that finish line. They did and I am going to do it again.
On the boards I will stress get fitted!!!
If you are on facebook look me up, I opened a group for Team Voice too.
So what is your training plan? What are some of your goals?? Set a main goal, but set some small ones to help you get to the main one.
If I can help let me know!
